As of now the election is scheduled to proceed on April 7 per state statutes. The Town will do what it can to create a safe environment for voters and election workers.
The Town’s Public Works Department is available if need be. Pickup of yard waste, as well as chipping, is set to begin on April 6.
Trash and recycling pickup continues on Mondays for anything you place in your bins. However, Advanced Disposal will not make arrangements to pick up larger items until the situation with the virus improves.
The Town’s Annual Meeting was scheduled for April 15, but due to the governor’s latest emergency decree this meeting has been rescheduled for May 13 at 6:30pm. Of course even this date is subject to change, depending on how things play out with the virus.
This year’s annual Clean Sweep is supposed to take place on May 2 in April Hill Park. The decision as to whether to postpone or cancel this event will be made no later than April 10.
This is an quickly-changing situation, and this website will be updated as needed in the coming weeks and months.
